The title says it all. D.E.L.T.A Rescue is a sorry excuse for a rescue. Nothing about this place is normal. Animals are supposedly saved from the wildlife and brought to DELTA to live out their lives medicated and without real people interraction. At least half of these animals are fully adoptable and would make amazing forever pets. However, they will never get the chance. In fact...if an animal is extremely old and has more problems than good...it stays inside the clinic area laying in his or her own feces and urine until someone comes around to change the potty pads they lay on all day. There are animals that have sores on parts of their bodies and they will never heal due to no movement or blood flow to the area. These animals are just over medicated till they pass away, laying on one side of their bodies in pain and nothing is done. There are two animals in the hospital area that have MRSA. They are not quarantined fully away from other animals or people and this is a serious and contagious disease. They just sit in a cage with no interraction other than being medicated. The cat with MRSA isnt even nice enough to go near let alone medicate. He will bite and claw at you. The dog with MRSA has one of the worst skin infections on her abdomen that I have ever seen...and I am a Vet Tech. The
dogs that are outside are out in the cold when its freezing and stuck in the extreme heat when its hot outside. They have a dog house to go in but it is not enough protection in extreme temps. Being at D.E.L.T.A is a horrific nauseating and sad experience. You would only be there as an employee because of your crazy love and dedication to animals or an illegal immigrant who has to work there and be treated like crap because your stuck. At least half of the employees are illegal immigrants. The owner gets crap from the IRS every year because he makes up social security numbers for his workers. Wow right? Employees come and go like a gass station. They see what goes on there and they leave. The interview to get a job is given at a McDonalds in Acton. If they like you they take you to the property and "kind of" show you around. It seems so awesome and a great opportunity but it's not. what it seems. People have quit the same day they started. Others have been there a few months only because they need a job. Or you could be fired for being too slow. 7 years at the "rescue" and disabled...fired for being too slow. The culprit who fired him...his name is Cisco. He became the rescues' supervisor and all hell broke loose. The place is falling apart. And if you expect to be paid the amount you were told and had a signed paper stating that...forget it. You will be paid less. And...they will tell you that the paper (which was signed by HR) stating your pay...is a mistake. Wow again right? This "rescue" is a just one disaster after another and I am so surprised it has not been shut down yet. Ive heard people have tried but no luck. The owner is a very mean person who is racist, rude, and will fire you for absokutely anything. You can not talk to him unless he talks to you. You can not call the HR Lady because yoy wull ve fired  You can not talk to any of the sponsers that tour...which is brief and rare...you will be fired. The owner makes over $17 mil dollars a year in donations yet the dog and cat food is cheap bad nutritioned junk. This is such a horrible place and it needs to be fixed or shut down. Have the adoptable animals put into loving homes. Be truly all about the animals not how many and how many different kinds you can have all to yourself!!!
